Rumours that Russian troops have allegedly seized the villages of Zaporizhskoye and Novogeorhiyivka in Dnipropetrovsk Region are not true.

The AFU General Staff reported that Ukrainian troops continue their defence in these directions and maintain control over the village of Zaporizhske despite the occupants' attempts to seize it. Active hostilities continue in the Novogeorgievka area, Ukrainian defenders inflict significant losses on the enemy, destroying the occupants by the dozens daily.

Earlier on the interactive map of the analytical resource DeepState information appeared that the Russians allegedly control these two settlements, located near the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk region and Donetsk region. However, officials from the General Staff and the Dnipro operational-strategic group stressed that this information was not confirmed and Ukrainian troops continue to hold their positions and contain the enemy's offensive. The command specified that the rumours about the "occupation" of Zaporizhskoye and Novogeorhiyivka are disinformation and do not reflect the real situation on the front.

Thus, despite the enemy's attempts to gain a foothold in these areas, the Ukrainian defenders retain the initiative and continue to control strategically important sections of the defence line.
