A waistcoat made of cash: Border guards apprehend a trespasser
Border guards detained a man who had made a "bullet-proof waistcoat" out of food film and money. The incident took place at the Orlovka ferry checkpoint, the man was travelling from Romania.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
At the Orlovka ferry crossing point, border guards noticed the nervous behaviour of a passenger coming from Romania. As it turned out, he had made a bulletproof vest from food film and wads of money," the report said.
The origin of the traveler's cash could not be explained. Therefore, a protocol for violation of customs rules was drawn up against him, and the money was seized.
