British ambassador dives into the ice-hole on Epiphany together with Kiev residents

British ambassador to Ukraine Harris bathed in Dnipro together with Kiev citizens on the occasion of Epiphany.
Martin Harries posted a video with congratulations and bathing on social network X (Twitter).
Today is the Feast of Epiphany, which Ukrainians celebrate here on the Dnieper in Kiev. This is the place where Ukrainians were first baptised a thousand years ago, and where Kievan Rus became a Christian state. Today, Ukrainians pray for victory, peace and freedom for their land. I join them," the diplomat said, standing on the bank of the Dnieper River.
After immersing in the water three times, Harries crossed himself and congratulated Ukrainians on Epiphany.
We shall remind you that Ukraine has switched to the new Julian church calendar and the dates of almost all holidays have been moved back by 13 days. That is, now the cycle of holidays begins on 18 November and ends on 7 January. In particular, Epiphany is now celebrated on 6 instead of 19 January.
