Most Germans do not support an increase in military aid to Ukraine

According to a recent poll, more than 70% of Germans do not support an increase in military aid to Ukraine.

41% of Germans are now confident that the country is helping Ukraine enough with weapons, and 30% believe that Ukrainians receive too much military assistance from Germany.

The survey "DeutschlandTrend" conducted "infratest dimap" between 31 October and 2 November among 1307 German citizens eligible to vote (among them 854 voted by phone, another 453 online), commissioned by the German broadcaster ARD.

Only 21% of German citizens believe that military assistance to Ukraine should be increased.

37% of respondents believe that the sanctions for Russia are not tough enough.

55% - believe that the German government is not actively looking for ways to a peaceful settlement.

61% of respondents fear that Russia might attack another country in Europe. Immediately after the invasion in Ukraine, there were more of them - 69%.

Russia is considered a reliable partner for Germany by 10% of respondents, Ukraine - 47%, the USA - 55%, Britain - 60%, France - 84%.

The error of the result is no more than 2% for values in the region of 10% and no more than 3% for values in the region of 50%.
