Boat "Stanislav" sank in the Black Sea three years ago - Ukrainian Navy tries to find out the fate of sailors

The Ukrainian Navy has appealed to the public and international partners to use all available means to find out the fate of four servicemen who went missing after the sinking of the landing assault boat Stanislav in the Black Sea. About it reports the official account of the Ukrainian Navy in Facebook.

The vessel was destroyed on 7 May 2022 during the fighting for the liberation of the island of Snake Island - a strategically important bridgehead in the Black Sea. According to the Navy, the boat was hit by a Russian missile. Part of the crew was saved, but the fate of four sailors remains unknown.

We are talking about sailors Alexander Sukhorukov, Vladimir Lyashko, Sergei Tukmachev and Vladislav Kostyuk. Their relatives have been demanding publicity for 39 months and putting pressure on the aggressor country to confirm whether the defenders are in captivity.

The Ukrainian Navy stressed the need to involve international organisations and partners to increase pressure and search for the missing: "Publicity. Pressure. Influence of international organisations and partners. We must use all tools to ensure that our guys return to their families."

We shall remind you that according to the commissioner for missing persons, Artur Dobroserdov, today officially about 60,000 Ukrainians are considered missing.
