Bild tells what goal Ukraine is pursuing in Kursk region

By invading Kursk Region, Ukraine is trying to capture as many Russian servicemen as possible in order to use them in an exchange for its own people. This is what Bild has reported.

The publication stresses that the AFU command has not yet given official comments on the advance on the Russian territory, but the article says that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, noting the successes of the Ukrainian army, thanked the soldiers who took the Russian military prisoner, saying that it was "extremely important and over the past three days particularly effective".

The publication points out that if the exchange fund is replenished, more Ukrainian prisoners could be released.

Since the beginning of the offensive in the Kursk region there have been several videos depicting groups of Russian soldiers who surrendered as prisoners of war, among them, in particular, border guards," the piece said.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian military has occupied about 400 square miles of the Kursk region and taken dozens of Russian soldiers prisoner, and so far there are no signs that they are slowing down their attacks.
