The Russians' attack on the capital: Air defence shoots down 29 Iranian Shahedin

The overnight attack left one person dead and three injured.

This was reported by the press service of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russians have attacked the Ukrainian capital for the third time in the last 24 hours. The alarm was sounded again on the night of 29-30 May.

The enemy used Iranian Shahed-type UAVs to terrorise the capital's residents. A total of 31 Shaheds were fired by the enemy. The air defence forces managed to shoot down 29 of them.

According to reports from the Kiev city military administration, the attack was a combined one.

This extreme air attack, the 17th since the beginning of the month, was tentatively carried out exclusively by Shahed bomber munitions. The attack was massive, from different directions, in several waves. The air raid lasted nearly three hours.

Also due to the night attack, there is destruction from shrapnel from downed drones in different parts of Kyiv.

In particular, in Golosiivskyi district, debris falling on a multi-storey residential building caused a fire on the last two floors. Over 20 residents were evacuated. One person is presumed dead and three injured. The ceilings between the floors are likely to have been destroyed and search operations are under way to find people under possible rubble.

Cars in the Pechersk district have been damaged by debris. In the Darnytsia district, a private house caught fire as a result of falling debris. Parked cars were also damaged. In the Dniprovskyi district, burning debris fell on a green area. In Podilskyi - on a non-residential building. In the Svyatoshinsky district, debris fell on the territory of an enterprise.
