AFU strike on Russian port in the Caspian Sea and the death of a dry cargo ship carrying Iranian munitions: new details

The AFU hit a vessel with Iranian munitions in the port of Olya.

on 14 August, the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces together with other units of the Defence Forces launched a strike on the Olya seaport in Russia's Astrakhan Region. According to the AFU General Staff, the target of the attack was the Port Olya 4 vessel loaded with components for Shahed-type drones and ammunition supplied from Iran.

According to preliminary information, the vessel was hit, details and consequences of the strike are being specified. The military ministry stressed that the port of Olya is a key logistics hub for Russian military supplies from Iran.

The attack was part of regular air operations on Russian territory, during which AFU drones and other means of destruction strike industrial facilities, transport hubs, oil refineries and fuel and lubricant depots, as well as the enemy's logistics infrastructure.
