AFU captured an occupier who saw the execution of Ukrainian defenders: photo

The AFU Airborne Assault Troops said in Telegram that the prisoner told about the facts of ill-treatment by Russian forces and crimes against Ukrainian prisoners of war.

According to the prisoner, he previously served his sentence in a Russian colony, where in October 2022 he agreed to sign a contract with the private military company Wagner. In June 2023, he participated in the PMC's "campaign" on Moscow, and then signed a new contract and became a soldier of the 155th Marine Brigade. Already as part of this brigade, he took part in battles in the Kursk region, where he witnessed the brutal murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war.

According to the prisoner's testimony, in late September, near the village of Glushkovo, the commander of his unit ordered the execution and beheading of two Ukrainian prisoners of war. He also gave the names of those who directly carried out the order. The DSHV noted that the 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet in the Kursk region has suffered significant losses, causing soldiers to often refuse to carry out orders or leave their positions.

In addition, other cases of execution of Ukrainian servicemen have been reported. Near Zelenyi Put in the Kursk region, nine Ukrainian military personnel who agreed to surrender were executed by the Russian military. Also in the Toretsk direction, three Ukrainian soldiers who raised their hands and surrendered were shot in the back. Law enforcers received this information from the Prosecutor-General's Office, which, in turn, found the relevant information on one of the Telegram channels.
