A video of the destruction of a KAB-500 aerial bomb in Zaporizhzhya was shown by sappers
The aerial bomb could not be transported, so SSES sappers detonated it in a controlled manner at the site where it was found.
A Russian KAB-500 guided aerial bomb, which had not detonated, has been found in Polohovskyy district of Zaporizhzhya Region. The sappers destroyed it at the place of its discovery, the State Emergency Situations Service reported.
The 500-kilogram aerial bomb was found not far from the zone of active hostilities.
The bomb had a modified fuse, because of which it could not be transported. Therefore, specialists from the State Emergency Situations Service detonated the bomb in a controlled manner at the site where it was found.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, sappers destroyed 4,854 explosive objects found in Zaporizhzhya region.
Earlier, Socialportal reported that in Zaporizhzhya region in the centre of the village of Ternovatoye, a Russian high-explosive aerial bomb that had not detonated was defused.
