An abandoned two-storey building was reconstructed and fitted out with modern smart flats. Now 53 people will live in them.

A new dormitory has been opened in the village of Mykhaylovka-Rubezhovka in Kiev Region for 19 families of internally displaced people who lost their homes due to the war. This was announced by the head of the Kiev Regional State Administration Ruslan Kravchenko.

19 families of internally displaced persons, who lost their housing due to Russian aggression, now have new housing, - he said.

In the village of Mykhaylovka-Rubezhovka, the old hostel was reconstructed by the Irpen City Council, the charitable foundation "Housing for IDPs" and the Polish company "Dom Development".

Modern smart flats were built here. Now 53 people will live in them. In particular, large families, social workers, doctors, teachers, workers of public utilities and the like.

It is noted that social housing will not be transferred to private ownership for 10 years.

The renovated building has a modern look, sewerage system and gas supply. The building is adapted for people with disabilities. The flats are fully renovated, soundproofed, equipped with kitchen furniture, have separate bathrooms, - Ruslan Kravchenko said.

In total, more than 330 thousand internally displaced persons are registered in Kyiv region. In the region there are 32 places of temporary settlement of internally displaced persons, including 17 modular towns.
