The Ukrainian girl planned to run 2 kilometres at the marathon, but managed to run five.
In the Boston Marathon 12-year-old Ukrainian Yana Stepanenko, who lost both legs during a missile attack by Russian troops, ran 5 kilometres on prostheses. This was reported by Yana's coach Orysia Danyliuk Tvoemisto.tv.

At the marathon, the girl ran to raise funds for a modern prosthesis for veteran Alexander Ryasny, who lost a leg in the war.
He is 30 years old, he is from Zaporozhye region. He went through all stages of this war: ATO, OOS and full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
He was seriously wounded last year in September: a shell fragment tore the defender's thigh. Now he is at the stage of active rehabilitation and prosthetics.
For three months in Lviv, the girl was prepared for the race by physical therapists and coaches of the PROBIG running club.
