700 kilograms of TNT seized in Kharkiv region
Law enforcement officers confiscated explosives from a private enterprise in the Kharkiv region.
According to the State Bureau of Investigation, 700 kilograms of TNT will be transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that TNT was found during an investigation into the illegal sale of this explosive by officials of one of the state enterprises for a private company. The buying company did not have a license to manufacture, store, transport, purchase, sell weapons, ammunition and explosives.
Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation conducted a series of searches and seized more than 8,000 metal cans, in which the plant employees packed TNT to mask the explosive. The explosives were packaged under the guise of non-military goods, to ensure the legality of the agreement with the merchants.
The pre-trial investigation continues under articles on illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives, as well as inaction of the military authorities (part 1 of article 263, part 3 of article 426 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The defendants face up to 7 years in prison.
