50,000 books burned in Kharkiv in Russian Federation strike
Russian terrorists are leaving scorched patches where there was once normal life, Pres. Vladimir Zelensky has said.
As a result of a massive missile strike by the Russian Federation in Kharkiv, 50,000 books were burnt and a printing house was destroyed. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on 24 May.
Yesterday's Russian strike on Kharkiv Region, which killed and injured people, destroyed a printing house and burned 50,000 books, demonstrates that Russia is at war with humanity and all aspects of normal life," Zelenskyy said.
He emphasised that Russian terrorists kill adults and children, destroy towns and villages, leaving scorched patches where normal life once was.
Russian terror must lose. And for that to happen, there is only one thing needed: the resolve of world leaders. Enough resolve. Sufficient air defence of Ukrainian cities and communities, sufficient long-range capabilities of our soldiers, sufficient bold political decisions," the President said.
Earlier Socialportal reported that one of the largest Ukrainian printing house "Factor-Druk" in Kharkiv was damaged during the shelling on 23 May.
In Kharkiv region there are almost no places left that could be safe. This was reported by the press secretary of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Olena Shapoval.
