Zelensky explained the reason for the dismissal of Ukrainian ambassadors


New representatives of Ukraine will be appointed to the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Norway and India.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky explained that the dismissal of some Ukrainian ambassadors is a matter of rotation, which is a normal part of diplomatic practice. He spoke about this in his video message to the Ukrainians.
Today I signed decrees on the dismissal of some Ukrainian ambassadors. This issue of rotation is a common part of diplomatic practice. New representatives of Ukraine will be appointed to the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Norway and India, the head of state noted.
He noted that new candidates are being prepared through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
In the address, Zelensky also announced important news from government officials next week.
I am already preparing for the new week, there will be important news, in particular, from government representatives, he said.
Recall that Zelensky fired five Ukrainian ambassadors, including Andriy Melnyk, ambassador to Germany. The corresponding decree No. 479 of the head of state appeared on the website of the President's Office on Saturday, July 9.
In total, Zelensky fired 5 Ukrainian ambassadors. In addition to the ambassador to Germany, the head of state dismissed :
- Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic E.Perebijnos,
- from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Hungary L. Nepop,
- Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway V.Yatsyuk.
- Ambassador, concurrently working in India, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh I. Polikhi.
Andriy Melnyk has been Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany since the beginning of the hybrid war on December 19, 2014. Before that, he worked as Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
