During the occupation of the Kherson region, the Russian military shot a woman in the back

The Prosecutor-General's Office said:

According to the investigation, in March 2022, during the occupation of the village of Shiroka Balka, the Russian military army shot a woman in one of the streets for her pro-Ukrainian stance and disagreement with the actions of the occupants. He opened fire with an automatic weapon into the back of a local resident.

The woman died of her gunshot wounds on the spot and was later buried by her fellow villagers near the garden.

The civilian's body was sent for appropriate expert examinations.

A pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code) is ongoing.
