The official representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Oleg Nikolenko, said that the Ukrainian Embassy in Paris took this issue under special control.

The incident occurred in the French village of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, located on the Cote d'Azur near Nice. The place is quiet and calm, however, there are a lot of Russians. The victims - mother and daughter Alina - arrived here recently. Both women are from Izyum.

Walking in the evening, the women listened to music in Ukrainian, which a friend sent to their phone.

We were met by four people: two people, one duck, the other thin and tall, and behind a woman with a child. It was as if we passed each other and turned onto a side road, ”Alina recalls in a commentary to Air Force Ukraine.

The girl said that the men promised each other in Russian, and when they passed by one of them shouted in pursuit: "I'm from Kyiv."

But as soon as the mother and daughter turned onto a side street, a “muscled man” from this company ran up to them.

From the first blow I was lying on the pavement. There were two blows in total, ”Alina said.

Her mother was hit three times by the assailant. She has a broken nose and a concussion. The women called an ambulance and the police. Their testimonies were recorded and medical assistance was provided.

... I’m lying in my bed, my head hurts a lot, my nose and eyebrows are all swollen, I can’t even go to the police. Alina went alone, - the eldest of the affected women wrote on her page on the social network.

The police examined the scene, asked what the attacking man looked like. It is assumed that a Russian attacked the Ukrainians.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine took this case under special control.

Diplomats are cooperating with French law enforcement officers to promptly investigate the attack, keep in touch with the victims, who have been provided with the necessary medical assistance. The attackers must be punished,” wrote Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko.
