Boris Johnson may come to Ukraine in the coming months - The Guardian
The British government fears that such a visit could undermine Prime Minister Sunaka's credibility.
The Guardian newspaper said this, citing anonymous sources.
The visit of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson may take place in the next few months. The politician wants to show public support for Ukraine and to meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The visit is also confirmed by Ukraine, but so far there is no concrete plan and program of the visit.
However, such actions of Johnson are not particularly enthusiastic in London. The British government fears that Johnson's trip may undermine the authority of the current British Prime Minister Rishi Sunaka.
Sunak's allies believe that Johnson should be careful not to jeopardise Rishi's relationship with Zelensky.
Other politicians generally express the view that Johnson is making the trip to Kiev in order to strengthen his role on the international stage and repeat Churchill's path. In addition, in this way Johnson is helping to develop his personal brand.
