A total of 900,000 hectares of land have been mined in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
Brigadier-General Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, has said.
According to the military officer, the Russian occupants have mined almost 900,000 hectares of land in the liberated territories of Mykolayiv and Kherson regions alone.
The invaders have managed to mine about 680 thousand hectares in the liberated part of Kherson oblast last year. This is only by rough estimate. Another 200 thousand hectares are mined areas in Mykolaiv oblast.
According to Tarnavsky, immediately after the liberation of the territories, they begin to be inspected by Ukrainian demining experts.
