Ukrainian Igor Klymenko received the title of the best student in the world

Igor Klimenko, a student of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, became the best in the world in 2022 according to the Global Student Prize.
The Global Student Prize is a prestigious award given to students who have the greatest impact on learning, the lives of their peers and society at large.
The young inventor will receive 100 thousand dollars for the development. This is stated on the website of the Global Student Prize.
Part Igro will direct to the mass production of drones, and part will be transferred to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
I started thinking about developing my own drone back in 2014 after the annexation of Crimea, and two years later I developed a prototype of this invention and started presenting it at various exhibitions. And even during active hostilities near his native village, he continued to work on the device in the basement to the sound of rockets and explosions, - Igor said.
Igor said that his drone remotely detects explosive objects and sends their coordinates to sappers. This speeds up the demining process and makes it safer.
In the next step, the inventor Igor Klimenko plans to mass-produce such drones in order to reduce the number of casualties caused by explosive objects during the war.
