There is no shortage of medicines in Ukraine.
Dmitry Shymkiv, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the pharmaceutical company Darnitsa Group, stated this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
According to him, only with single drugs now there may be interruptions in supply.
There are certain categories of drugs from foreign manufacturers, the supply of which is limited due to complex logistics chains. A medicine produced by Ukrainian enterprises - Ukrainian pharmaceuticals is able to cover all the needs of the Ukrainian population. Therefore, it is impossible to talk about a certain category of shortage of medicines,” Shymkiv said.
At present, the volume of the pharmaceutical industry is returning to the pre-war level. In particular, in the early days of Russia's full-scale invasion, only half of the pharmacies were operating in Ukraine. Now it is already 80%, and this is more than 16 thousand pharmacies.
The industry is reaching the pre-war level, it is working, it has demonstrated the ability to provide medicine: taking into account the wounded military and civilians, as well as planned operations and chronic diseases, Shymkiv added.
