We can all feel bored, lonely, lethargic, lack or decrease appetite. Each person may have a desire to "hide" - to run away somewhere, to be in himself, unwillingness to communicate with anyone. The world can be black and white at such moments in life. Often people say about such periods: “I have a dead end in relationships”, “I am depressed”, “I was fired from my job, I have no strength to live, etc.”

🤷🏻‍♀️The question arises: why can some people survive such episodes, while others can't?

❗️15% of people suffer from chronic, severe depression in their lives.

👴🏻 Sigmund Freud in his writings called grief a state that a person feels as the loss of something close. He called melancholy a state in which the loss cannot be switched to real life.

With the loss of loved ones, lifestyle, relationships, it is normal to feel despondency, to be in a state of melancholy. The taste of life disappears, and a person cannot experience pleasure.

Time passes and normal life processes are activated for the psyche. The basic need to experience pleasure and feel joy is back!

❓What are the true causes of prolonged depression:

⚡️ Stress is the main activator of depression.

In the case of depression, we are talking about cumulative stress. Children under the age of 10 who have experienced the loss of loved ones, relatives, may suffer from chronic depression. Any form of violence causes feelings of guilt and shame, activating the disruption of biological processes. Then the feeling of helplessness becomes uncontrollable, and the person experiences impotence.

⚡️ Hormonal disorders of the thyroid gland.

It plays an important role, especially for women. Women are different and longer than men, they live a sense of loss and any other condition. Postpartum depression, PMS, menopause, monthly female period - the level of estrogen and progesterone begins to go off scale above normal. If there is any stress - multiply many times!

Catastrophe is the habit of thinking about the bad.

Here the experience of the parental family can be taken or the genetic fund can be included. If you have been taught to think badly and you have not relearned, if you have no experience in making decisions - fear of making mistakes, controlling everything around, then there is every chance of entering a state of apathy and reaching dissociation (a feeling of indifference, detachment from reality or insufficient emotionality).
