Russian troops are preparing an attack on Bakhmut and Siversk

This is reported by the publication "Babel" with reference to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

According to analysts, the Russians, most likely, will continue to move further along the Bakhmut-Lysichansk highway. There they plan to capture Bakhmut itself and Siversk.

At the same time, the probability of success is very small, because the Russian army is very exhausted after the battles for Lisichansk.

In addition, the invaders are also weakening the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of Ukraine from Western fire systems. According to ISW, the UAF is increasingly attacking Russian military infrastructure with indirect fire and US-provided HIMARS systems deep in the occupied territories. HIMARS demonstrates how Western military assistance is providing Ukraine with new and much-needed military capabilities, according to ISW.
