More than a thousand settlements de-occupied in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, 1003 settlements have been de-occupied, in 70% of them the work of local authorities has been resumed.
As Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said at a briefing on May 10, the restoration of the infrastructure of the territories liberated from the invaders continues.
In the de-occupied territories - today it is 1003 settlements - the work of the humanitarian headquarters of the regional military administrations and the State Emergency Service has been launched, - he noted.
According to Tymoshenko, demining has already been carried out in 224 settlements. Automobile communication has been restored by 70%, railway - by 42%.
In addition, gas supply has been restored in 650 settlements, electricity - in 83% of the liberated cities and villages, water supply and drainage - in 60%, gas stations - in 49%, mobile communications and Internet services have been restored in 720 settlements.
Tymoshenko also noted that banks operate in 300 de-occupied settlements, and Ukrposhta has resumed providing its services in almost 800 settlements.
