Lithuania will spend 12% of the defence budget to replenish ammunition stocks.

This was stated in a statement by Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas.

According to the official, Lithuania has 3.1 billion euros. These funds will be spent on the purchase of military equipment. Ammunition depots will also be replenished. This is the plan for a decade.

According to the defence minister, military stockpiling is now one of the top priorities for the past few years. Increasing attention will be paid to this issue.

Lithuania is actively buying NASAMS medium-range air defence systems, HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, Vilkas infantry fighting vehicles, JLTV armoured all-terrain vehicles, PzH2000 and Ceasar howitzers, combat drones and other equipment.
