Japanese volunteer from Kharkiv Fuminori Tsuchiko celebrated his birthday

According to Fuminori, he plans to stay in Ukraine and help people win.
Japanese volunteer Fuminori Tsuchiko, who lives in Kharkiv and feeds 1.5 thousand Kharkiv citizens every day, turned 76 years old. Pensioners of the city, authorities and representatives of public organisations, colleagues came to congratulate the famous foreigner. They gathered on Saltovka and brought gifts to Fuminori.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 75-year-old Fuminori, while in Poland, heard horrific stories of Ukrainians in Kharkiv surviving the bombings. He travelled to Kharkiv to support those who were forced to live in the underground, hiding from the constant shelling. After that he decided to sell his house in Japan and move to Saltovka.
With the support of philanthropists from Japan and Ukraine, he opened a volunteer café there, where he feeds more than a thousand residents free hot lunches every day. The menu offers soups, borsch, porridge, pasta, meat. You can also try pastries, pies, buns, garlic doughnuts and drink tea.
Tsuchiko's establishment offers free food to anyone who needs it, without any restrictions or providing documentation.
According to Fuminori, he plans to stay in Ukraine and help people win. He still has two adult daughters in Tokyo - he promised them to come for holidays.
