Inflation in Ukraine amounted to 22.2%. But it's not critical
Ukrainian truth

Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko believes that inflationary risks, including those due to the issuance of the hryvnia, should not be a priority when supporting the army. In any case, the Ministry of Finance cannot stop payments to the military and therefore counts on the support of the NBU.

Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko stated this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

“Inflation is quite high when compared with the pre-war state. Compared to other countries - Europe, the United States, where inflation is approaching 10%, our inflation of 22.2% is not so critical. That is, this is not inflation, which could be in a warring country, ”the official believes.

According to Marchenko, the external conditions in the world now are such that Ukraine would still have high inflation, even if there were no wars.

At the same time, according to the minister, inflationary risks, including those due to the issuance of the hryvnia, should not be a priority when supporting the army. In any case, the Ministry of Finance cannot stop payments to the military and therefore counts on the support of the NBU.
