Since February 24, rescuers have already made more than 50 thousand trips to eliminate the consequences of Russian shelling.
On September 17, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Rescuer. Rescuers saved the lives of almost two thousand people and evacuated more than 2 million Ukrainians. The press service of the State Emergency Service reports this on Telegram.
During the performance of their duties, 43 rescuers gave their lives, 144 were injured, and eight were captured by the enemy, the State Emergency Service reported.
State Emergency Service on Telegram: “Without sleep and days off, they save people where, it would seem, there is no trace of hope anymore.”
