A man was found alive under the rubble of a house in Dnipro
More than 20 people, including a child, have so far been killed by a Russian missile hitting a residential building.
Rescuers continue to work at the site of a Russian missile hit in Dnipro on Sunday, 15 January. The body of a live person was found under the rubble of a high-rise building. The local Telegram channel Dnipro Operative reports that special services are preparing for the rescue operation.
As of Sunday morning, emergency workers rescued 38 people, including six children, from the collapsed multi-storey building. 21 people died under the rubble, including one child, and 73 people were injured, including 14 children.
The chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Valentin Reznichenko, added that more than 40 injured are in hospitals, with four in intensive care. According to his data, the fate of more than 40 more people remains unknown:
Preliminary, Saturday's enemy strike on a residential building, destroyed 72 flats, mutilated more than 230... Dismantling the destroyed structures of the house is continuing. Almost 3,500 tonnes of debris has already been removed
He added that psychologists are working with the victims, while volunteers are providing heat and food. 236 flats, or an estimated 400 residents, are now known to be in need of resettlement.
